Photolysis
For photolysis applications, a more empirical approach is adopted; the amount of UV required to achieve a 1 log reduction of chlorine, TOC, ozone, herbicides, NDMA or MTBE is a function of water chemistry, temperature, as well as the level of removal required. Correct system selection requires detailed water analysis (which ETS can assist with). Additionally we have a number of bench top and pilot systems that we use to determine what power is required should we be unfamiliar with the application.
