Pharmaceutical/Semiconductor
With over25 years of industry experience ETS UV are market leaders, whose state-of-the-art UV product range has provided the pharmaceutical/semiconductor industries with advanced technology solutions for a variety of applications worldwide.
Specially designed and developed for the pharmaceutical/semiconductor industries, ETS UV breakthrough chamber design eliminates all crevices and unnecessary fittings, maintaining the integrity of the system. Our leading UV technology is used in a number of key areas including ultrapure water generation, the treatment of process water and disinfection of contaminated effluent water discharges. Additionally ETS UV custome engineering skills and market-leading technology have also allowed for the development of site specific solutions for a number of leading pharmaceutical and semiconductor manufacturing companies worldwide.
DISINFECTION | Treatment with the appropriate dose of UV energy will inactivate all types of micro-organisms. A UV dose greater than a log-4 reduction (99.99%) can be easily achieved. With a wide range of UV systems, ETS can provide treatment for any application.
DECHLORINATION | Make up water contains a chlorine residual that ensures disinfection in the distribution network which could cause a detrimental effect on the process and treatment RO membranes and other filtration media. ETS medium pressure UV lamps are capable of destroying both free chlorine and chloramines.
TOC REDUCTION | The short wavelength energy emitted by ETS specialist synthetic quartz UV lamps is capable of removing Total Organic Carbon by breaking chemical bonds. This process also renders the pollutants more amenable to removal by ion exchange resins.
DEOZONATION | Ozone is widely used in the production of ultrapure water for its' disinfection and oxidation properties. However residual ozone is highly undesirable and must be removed prior to water use. ETS systems are capable of destroying residual ozone.
TOXIC DISCHARGES | The ETS ADVOX dvanced oxidation process (AOP) allows for the treatment of effluent waste water containing toxic and non-biodegradable contaminants. Once treated this effluent waste water can then be safely discharged into the environment.
EFFLUENT DISCHARGES | ETS have provided specialist systems to a number of key clients to bring contaminated factory/process waste water to within accepted micro-biological limits for safe discharge into the environment.
CERTIFICATION AND VALIDATION | As an option ETS can provide certificates for materials of construction, UV lamps and UV monitors, as required by the FDA and other procedures as part of Good Manufacturing Practice.
Validation of UV output is performed on-line without disturbing the operation of the unit and is performed by ETS as part of the service program. Chambers are manufactured to a specific sanitary design, free of crevices and fittings which could cause contamination. Additionally, ETS has the ability to assemble in a clean room type environment.
With a wide reference list of key clients and successful case studies ETS UV Technology are pioneers in the custom designing of Ultraviolet equipment to meet and surpass customer requirements. Full documentation for tractability and proof of hygienic design is available upon request.
